0016 - Who in the name of Heaven or hell are you?

Are you just a skin bag of meat and blood and bone?  What is the meaning of your life?  What will live on after you die?  Will you be only a vague warm memory in the minds of your loved ones?  Are you searching for more than that?  Are you creative?  Are you an artist?  What does it mean to be a creative, spiritual warrior? How do you find that path?

  1. You reference Descartes in your defense of the mind, or "soul's," ability to survive the death of the body. While I don't accept Descartes' mind/body dualism, the view has a long and venerable history in western thought. But (despite your claims to the contrary) it not supported by the bible. The biblical and Christian belief is not in a disembodied ghostly afterlife, but rather in the resurrection of the physical body. Being a Christian, I not only find resurrection more palatable disembodied immortality; it's also the only view supported by scripture. What you're talking about is attributable to Plato, but Christianity. gregklebanoff@gmail.com
